1) Evaporator for liquid hydrogen

We are manufacturing water bath evaporators for hydrogen. The evaporators are being discharged by an operating pressure of 200 bar and an evaporating capacity of more than 100 kg/h liquid hydrogen in continuous operation.

The hydrogen is being stored in cryo tanks holding a temperature down to –254° C. The hydrogen is being compressed to operating pressure by the aid of cryo pumps. The energy required for the evaporation of the liquid hydrogen is being added by sea-water. In our design we considered an input temperature of min. +4° C.

Design, manufacturing and acceptance control of the evaporator are ensuing from the Pressure Vessel Regulations (PED 97/23/EG) cat. IV, module G under observance of the AD2000 regulations.

2) Mobile installation for mass flow control of gaseous hydrogen for the loading of metal hydride storage for fuel cell application.

Due to the requirements of our customers we have chosen a compact and mobile construction for the installation. The installation works with gaseous hydrogen at operating pressures up to 200 bar and mass flow of more than 100 kg/h. Since there must be observed an exact feeder currency for charging the metal hydride storage, we use an ultrahigh accuracy Coriolis instrument. The regulation and control of the mechanical components is being taken over by a SPS. According to the pre-selected mass flow the loading of the metal hydride storage is being regulated automatically.

The installation was designed according to the Pressure Vessel Regulations (PED97/23/EG), AD2000 – HP100R. The electrical elements are in conformity with the ATEX regulations. The complete system has been accepted by a designated authority.

3) Automatic filling systems for pressure cans.

This filling system allows automatic filling of pressure cans with test gases including toxic, flammable or oxygen shares. We have made comparable filling systems for smaller cylinders as well as medical gases up to 300 bar filling pressure.

The vacuum pump with gas-ballast unit has been installed on to the back-wall of the filling room.

We are at your disposal for any questions referring to these systems or other concrete applications.
